My HTC One X screen has just gone blank...

My HTC One X was working perfectly fine but then suddenly the screen went black. I tried connecting it to the charger but the red charging light wouldn't come on. I also tried ringing the phone but nothing happened. I tried holding the power button for about 15 seconds, still no response. The final thing I tried was to connect it to the computer to see if the computer would detect the device however the computer didn't. I don't know what else to do, HELP?!?

hey guys it worked forme too. since yest night ithad this issue suddenly turned blank. when called said switchoff. but could get whatsapp call, but could not attend. alarm was ringing but could not slide to off. but this trick worked thks very much

It seems your phone died for broken motherboard or battery, you need to send for professional check.

You have what's know as the black screen problem, ( I have too) there is a fix but it involves taking the phone apart and putting a bit of paper between a ribbon cable bend. I'm looking for the fix again myself. In the meantime I bought a new phone LG G2, (good phone recommended) I'll post back here once I find the fix, but it's not for noobs.
