Released in 2012, the Toshiba Satellite C850 is a 15.6-inch notebook with a choice of either AMD or Intel processors. It has USB 3.0 and can be configured with up to a 1TB HDD for storage and discrete graphics.

Have you upgraded the OS recently? It may not be able to recognize the trackpad. Or if you spilled liquid on your laptop it may have shorted it out. Or you may have accidentally disabled it:) try pressing FN-F9

try pressing f6 or f7 that could enable touchpad, or download driver for touch pad, if that doesnt work go into device manager under keyboard select mice and pointing device right click select uninstall and restart computer windows will automaticly reinstall touchpad.
