Can I replace the Speaker

The speaker on this device is totally rubbish. It cracks and crackles, the speakerphone is almost unusable. Is the part easily replaceable and if so can you recommend a compatible excellent replacement?

The ear speaker is also horrible in that you cannot hear anything unless you've absolutely directly paired your ear canal and the tiny slit. Any suggestions of a solution for a louder speaker here?

I have had people tell me that "removing the cover over speaker helps with sound volume" so I gave it a try and will describe how to here. I will assume that you saw the teardown post for that is the best how to guide I've seen to date. For this mod you only need to remove the plastic bezel that covers the internal speaker.

Once cover is removed (it is held on with rather sticky tape so be careful not to crack it. I reccomend using the plastic tools shown in teardown post) locate the sticker covering the speaker

using tweezers, or whatever floats your boat, to peel off sticker.

Now simply replace the plastic bezel. I noticed a slight difference is sound, especially with directionality. I no longer have to have slit directly over my ear canal. Slightly off center works well now.
