got a weird problem,phone works perfectly fine with no issues but whenever charge the device, my friend is experiencing ghost touch and severe lags. Unable to control the touch and it works fine when its not under charging. Tried different charger and still the same problem. Anyone experiencing the same problem?

I was having the issue also when the charger was not connected. The fix was to turn the brightness down. The issue only occurred at full brightness and if I brought the brightness down while it was happening I could watch the problem stop in real time. Normally leave the brightness at the mid-level, but have had promising results with the adaptive brightness setting too. Going on 2 months without having to deal with the issue, and it had been an everyday problem.

The brightness thing fixes it 100%

Waste phone. Some of the problems i noticed in moto g4 plus.
1. Ghost touch issue while charging.
2. Music player start and stop frequently while using Head phone.
3. Heavy battery drain issue.
4. While choosing notification tone for alarm or some thing, it rings with high sounds. But when we received a notification, the sound is too low even the notification tone is full.
5. Over heating issue. During charging as well as video usage

It's a software problem. Most of times starts to occur after an OTA update. Reinstalling the firmware usually will fix the problem.

I have seen this problem when using a non apple charger and with a non (apple)certified cable on an iphone. Could be the same for the Moto.

Hi i too was having the same problem
When i connect my turbo charger to it then it suddenly acts weird (ghost touches)
So i fixed my problem by using the old phones charger
2nd method is that to ask for refund

That's weird. But for me my phone is charging on its own. I don't have it plugged it in the wall or anything. It's powered off. And I don't have an app for self charging fake $@$* apps. It's happened twice in the same day...

Has screen been replaced before? Some aftermarket screens show signs of this.

no, almost new phone, i searched and found quite a few people encountered this problem and no solution

I have seen this issue a few times, and having only ever been able to tie this issue to the phone receiving too much charge due to an issue some where down the line relating to power. A better charger has rectified this in other phone models but replacing the screen has never solved it for me. It wont effect the phone overall, you just cannot use your phone whilst charging .

Then it's a phone design issue. The digitizer circuit is not insulated enough to avoid interference with the charging circuit while charging the phone.
In result it interferes with the touch screen because of the power going through the phone.
As touch screens are capacitive, they detect the change of current from your fingers. So if you put a charging cable that has power going through on top of the screen it will interfere.
