@beverly27, Beverly, Not all engines have a primer, below I posted a link to BS Quantum series operators manual that may help in showing primer bulb, choke lever,etc., locations if equipped. Page 7 of the (2nd) link guide/ manual explain there are 3 different starting systems primer/choke/Ready start, you can look at the manual and find which system your engine uses and instructions will show how to operate.
