Help with getting photos back

First, do not use the computer. It is possible to recover data using tools like Winternals Disk Commander or similar to scan for lost partitions and files. The space that the lost files are in are marked as unused space and that will let applications and other files to write over those lost files. The recovery tool should be setup on a USB thumb drive and used to boot the computer, the recovery tool should be able to scan and find the files and save them to USB or other storage device but not the hard drive.
