It just means you need to charge it. The battery is running low and itβs letting you know.

mmm, no, it doesn't mean that. It is on the charger.

i have the same problem. How do i know my UE Wonderboom is charging. Because i plug the usb to charge, i donβt know it is charging or not. I pressed the button and itβs still red. And i just bought it brand new the charger and the speaker, only used one times until i have this situation.

the button should be white and fade/blink and when its full charged it should turn off
if the light is constantly red try to report it to UE or try to do the factry reset (turn it on and hold the power button and minus/volume down button at the same time for like 10-15 seconds it should play a sound and it should turn off)
You should press volume + and volume - same time and also connect to micro USB port , don't turn on press thale volume + and volume - button you will here some door sound that's Mean you're ue wonderboom speaker charge..
I pressed the plus and minus volume buttons like the answer up above. Plugged it into USB. Held the buttons for 25 seconds. It worked thank you so much.
Follow the directions of one input
Hold the plus and minus buttons simultaneously for 25 seconds. Be sure to plug in charger. This will reset the system and it works.!!
This means the mic is off. Can enable/disable in the blast app which also happens to toggle the light. Nothing to do with the battery if the light is solid red.

My WB was fully charged when I opened it. It lasted for a few weeks before the light went solid red (meaning the battery was getting low). Since I wanted to fully drain the battery before itβs first full recharge, I noticed that it not only turned itself off, but the solid red light was now blinking, meaning it was totally dead. I plugged it in for the first time tonight and itβs now blinking the white/blue color. Hope that helps. Also, Iβm curious if there is a green light meaning itβs fully charged, or even a yellow light to let me know itβs half way. Something I read in the manual made me think this would happen, but I guess Iβll find out soon.
Also, I read if you hold down both the +/- buttons simultaneously it will tell you the status of your WB battery.

Answered MANY questions.
When itβs fully charged the light will be off. There isnβt any halfway charging status but you can check the battery percentage by clicking the + and - button and it will play a tone then represents its percentage.
Try to do the factory reset (hold minus button and power button at the same time for like 10-15 seconds it should play a sound)

I have a feeling itβs got something to do with the base output. When I play base heavy songs at full volume the light goes red, and when I reduce the volume or change the song it goes back to white

If you play bass heavy music at high volumes it will drain the battery faster. The battery will last for 10 hours with the volume at 50%. Turn it passed 50% and your battery will drain faster, therefore giving you less time.
It means the battery is low and it needs to be charged.

I believe it means it is overheating I tried playing 100 Hertz bass tone on it and it lasted about 20 seconds before it started getting warm on the top and went red

Red light is flashing ..won't charge...did hold down power and volume..still doesn't work
A nice powerful little speaker however thereβs not enough info included! Are you supposed to be a mind reader. Whereβs the charging light? There isnβt one and there should be one. How the !&&* are you supposed to know if :1. It is charging? 2. When it is fully charged?.it doesnβt say how long it takes to charge!
come one guys, more info is definitely requiresd.
mine was working great then it stopped abruptly.
i tried putting it back on with the cable attached and now itβ wonβt connect.
im going to give a 2 hour charge,if nothing changes back it goes to Costco. Thank god costco has an excellent return policy.

A red light commonly indicates a low battery on your speaker.

Does it continue to play music?
ΠΈΠ· Aiden
Mine continues to play music when the power button turns red. Concerning, as it is only one week old, and I canβt find any info as to what it means.
ΠΈΠ· ronniejae
On my UE WONDERBOOM, it means that the battery is almost empty. It will continue playing, but it will need to charge soon (up to a few hours depending on the music volume)

I have the same issues as all the above...but even when I have charged it is still showing up red...or is it overcharged so to speak...because I have hardly used it...have only had it for a couple of weeks...so I am stuck...as attempting to charge it IS NOT WORKING!!!
ΠΈΠ· Jenny Thurling
Have the same experience...have 2 speakers...have been using them for about 3 weeks...charged them at the same time for the same amount of time. On one of them had the power button turn red after the first week...but still works fine..would love to know what that means though.
