If it was thrown at the wall twice, its most likely just broke, phone MOBO is just plain destroyed.
You could try replacing the battery if you want. They may fix it though.

If your mom through it at the wall multiple times, then it's probably damaged beyond repair. Just to be safe, try going into Recovery Mode.

If you paid for the phone make her buy a new one. If she paid for the phone, save your pennies for a new one.
