I have not used my camera in a long while and it will not turn on. I have switched the batteries with 2 AA's and I have tried to plug it into my laptop. There are videos on it from when I was little and it is my moms birthday soon so I was hoping to fix it some how. If you have any info on how I can repair it, please respond ASAP!

Hi,
It seems your camera has a hardware issue, as you have changed the batteries but it is still not working. Despite having a damaged camera, you can still recover your photos and videos, as the data would be stored on the external device inserted in your camera, such as an SD card or memory card. Just extract the SD card from the camera and connect it to a laptop to see if you can access your media files.

I just checked and realized that I posted an answer on an old post. I believe the issue has already been resolved. I’m a newbie here and found this question unanswered, so I posted a solution without noticing that the question was very old.
