My phone screen got cracked and when I put it on it went black and has a light showing lines on the screen. Can it be fixed and be able to work? Or would I need to buy another phone?

Chances are you broke the LCD, (meaning all the other components of your phone work just not the display part of the phone) the fact that blue lines are going across your phone is a big indicator. Just replace it and you should be fine! (Unless you also broke the logic board or other vital, unreplaceable components of the phone... Dropping it probabaly wouldnt do that though!)
