If you look at the Motorola Moto G 1st Generation Teardown you’ll see the rear facing camera is soldered to the logic board. So you can’t replace it as Motorola does not offer the same design in their newer phones and it would need the full logic board swap-out.
Time for a newer phone if you really need the higher resolution.
