Flash mode - flash does not turn off.
With the Function button, you can select a flash mode. When I choose the flash OFF icon, the flash still operates as if set on AUTO mode.

Try replacing the flash light bulb it probably burnt out.

I’m pretty sure that all settings are fixed in Auto Mode, meaning nothing can be changed. Switch to Program Mode, then change the flash setting. And if all else fails, keep your hand on it to keep it from opening.
