my Huawei p8 lite just switched off and cant get it back on. I tried to put it on charge and the red flickering light shows but it still wont switch on. also it keeps vibrating while on the charger.

Have you left charging the device for more than 6 hours? It is early for the battery to be damaged, but it depends on the use or if it has bad luck and is defective.
The screen is in good condition? If it vibrates, it is because it lights or at least it tries. Could have the screen damaged and not show image, but the phone is on and started.
