Dim light/ from the side

Ohoy captains and street lurkers.

I picked up this retro looking casio.

The illuminator doesnt light the whole thing up.

See pictures.

Is it as easy as a battery change?

I took it apart because it looked like the light was off centred.

But i couldn't ’t see anything wrong.

Should i ordera new battery for it and see?

Just wanted to see before spending more money.

This is a brand new one and it looks like the light is only coming from the side.

From your screenshots it would appear that the LCD is working fine but the lack of illumination on the right side of the watch face is not something a new battery is going to fix imho. Probably there is another malfunctioning/dead as a door nail LED or "backlight" circuitry involved.

From your screenshots it would appear that the LCD is working fine but the lack of illumination on the right side of the watch face is not something a new battery is going to fix imho. Probably there is another malfunctioning/dead as a door nail LED or "backlight" circuitry involved. — prop man
