Trash bin sensor broken
The small shiny metal bumper inside the trash bin housing has broken so the bin and roomba are not in agreement that the bin is installed. How do I get a new bumper installed?

Just figured this out. Take a small piece of tin foil and fold it up, place it on top tof the broken sensors and jame the bin closed. The foil hot wires the system and the robot detects the bin.

Did you get this working eventually? I have the same issue - if you can remember which video you used to disassemble any chance you could post it?

I bent the remaining piece of metal and put the bin back in carefully. This is working but I wouldn't call it fixed. It's disappointing that you can't get a new contact to install.

I managed to find the contacts on eBay! I've disassembled the Roomba with the help of a YouTube video. When the part arrives we'll see how it goes!
What did you buy specifically on ebay? A sensor or the metal contacts? Also what you tube video did you use? Im in the same boat error 14 on my 900 series
Same problem here. So frustrating!
Anyone have a solution to replace these metal contacts for a 980?

Tape a piece of tin foil across the contacts. Acts as a jumper, replace when it gets worn out.

Hi @roombasrock1328 could you post a picture in your description so we can get a better view of what your problem is? And when you say agreement do you mean alignment? The trash bins sensors will be located where the bin is inserted towards the back on the left and right side of the opening and they have a slightly purplish tint to them.

My bin continually comes out of the I roomba . I cleaned the sensors and cleaned everything near the bin but it continues to happen. Is there a place near me where I can take it for repairs?
