My laptop worked yesterday. Today I attempted to turn it on as usual, pressing the power button. It made all the usual noises. On startup, It makes a beeping noise, but that is normal. Today the screen is completely black. I can tell it’s on. The fans are running and the light is on. Still, the screen is black.

DiamondWolf Gaming connect an external monitor. If that works you know the issue is with your display. If it does not then it could be a GPU (motherboard) issue. Also while your computer is on, in a darkened room, shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. See if you can make out your menu etc. If so you know it is a backlight issue.
