My electric typewriter Brother CE60 does not write certain letters. These are: comma, period, minus-sign, both accents (‘ `), and the apostrophe (‘). Otherwise it works fine. What can the reason for this be?

I’d try re-seating the cable that connects the keyboard to the main board. If that doesn’t work, inspect the keyboard PCB for corrosion. I had a Commodore 64 computer with a half-dead keyboard and discovered board corrosion that I was able to jump with wire.
