Sound Problem because of On/Off Dial

Hello,

I have the following problem with the headset:

The sound is sometimes very inconsistent. Example on a music track, I hear the music consistent but distorted, but the singing partly not and when it does as if it were coming from a distance.

However, if I now wiggle the on/off lever, it fixes the problems as long as it is in a certain position.

Does anyone know the problem and how to fix this?

Hi,

I had the same issue and I fixed it by cleaning the connection of the switch. If you look at my picture you’ll see the dirt causing the issue. I’ve also linked the video I followed. Hope this help.

I used this for my g935's worked like a charm. Just a heads up though those little flat pins on the actual switch aren't glued in and are tiny so use caution when cleaning. thanks for the video!

I can confirm this fix works.

I used fine tweezers to remove the switch cover, then used isopropyl alcohol, a cotton tip and a pointy plastic spudger to scratch off the dirt.

While in there, I removed the battery bay and dongle bay to add PTFE grease to the tilt hinges; this eliminated 80% of the plastic creaking noises

Same issue. Cleaned the switch, sprayed some dry ptfe lube on, bent the metal strip so it tensions down a bit more on the slider and wham bam it works like a charm.
No more smacking the thing like a mad man XD.

I used the guide from @alexandrec11706 but messed up and the power switch went flying across my desk because of carelessness. One of the 4 tiny metal contact points was lost. So I ended up soldering the contact points for the switch so that it is always turned on. PS: Remember to permanently remove the plastic switch if you go the solder route so it does not short. I've included a schematic of the contact points. Green Are the pegs you want to solder to keep the device in a permanent on state. Red is the off state.
