Which hose connection on the pump does the water input hose go?

The plastic connector is where the water flows into. The brass connection is where the over flow tube connects. The input hose was connected in the wrong place. It is missing an overflow hose. The unit was put on the sidewalk for free pick up. Now it is fixed. :) That was fun!
