Forgot lock code won't power off can't perform reset?
I forgot my screen lock code and can't power off to perform reset what's next option?

Press and hold power button and both volume buttons to force reboot your device. After force reboot immediately press and hold hard reset combination buttons. it will take few attempts and then you will reach to recovery mode to wipe/factory reset your Samsung device.
If you have the Samsung device then after factory reset it will FRP Google account locked to unlock it follow this guidelines.

I tried all that but keeps asking for passcode
I tried it all too and it still wants a password.
Finally found something that worked, was able to use last known passcode to finalize reboot.

I have tried everything as well and nothing works. It's like it goes to sleep the screen Is dark but device is not off. Then I hit combo of buttons recommend to turn off and you think it has but it just restarts and your back to the password screen. My mom switched to apple and does not know any of the password for this or anything. She told me just do a factory reset. I can't even turn the device off to attempt to bring up the menu to do the factory reset.

I finally found a solution. Although google claims it will remove this device from your account if it is not used in 28 days, I took no chances. My solution involved a #3 sledge hammer. I then submerged the remaining pieces in several ounces of water for several hours.
Be very careful when you do this, though. The battery can get quite hot. I have a small blister on my left little finger.

I have been considering this solution as it seems to be the only one with an actual result that isn't the same lock screen

Help can’t get on anything without a passcode that I don’t remember! Not power off nothing!

Try this pc on side plug In USB..then go to Olin software...Set the Samsung tablet to download two buttons volumup and down together than plug in your USB to get Samsung green screen then tap volume up to down load screen then down load you Sm200 firmware thru Olin...Your will wait till it finish reboot go to reset factory settings...Sorry it is the only way back to normal working conditions....good luck

Well, if it is a 4 digit pass code you could start at 0000 and run to 9999. It may take a while.
