I have been unable to find anything that tells what the problem might be. Might want to go to their website and if the frequently asked questions section doesn't tell you (didn't tell me jack) then open up a help ticket to get someone from there to assist you in figuring this out. A light flashing like that is usually trying to tell you something… but they don't have documentation saying what it might be…

I appreciate your opinion- Got it as a gift awhile ago and today I charged it up (I hope). About 1 hour of the flashing red LED and finally a Green was constant.
