Same problem here. I've disassembled the toothbrush because it was turning itself on randomly and cycling through settings. I've cleaned most parts with alcohol. Unfortunately, it's still happening with no apparent trigger. I have the thing bare in front of me. It will just randomly start freaking out and cycling through settings. After I manually turn it off using the little switch, it seems to get quiet for a while again.

I am thinking it's gotta be the switch then. Something about pushing on it is dislodging whatever is causing it to short-circuit. Then eventually it short-circuits again. What else could it be?

In diesem Fall ist der Mikroschalter defekt. Hat wahrscheinlich ein wenig Wasser bekommen und macht sporadisch einen Kurzschluss. Nach Austausch des Mikroschalters funktioniert wieder.

> In this case, the microswitch is defective. It probably got a little water in it and is occasionally causing a short circuit. After replacing the microswitch, it works again.

Do you have any suggestions where one might source such a switch? I don't even know what to look for

EDIT: OK, I took some initiative here, and looks like the word "microswitch" was key. In my case the measurements are 5mm x 5mm. The stem height is 0.3mm. Among others, mouser.com has these switches in stock. Looks to be precisely 3 of them. All of them seem to have a plastic stem, while the one in the brush has a metal-looking stem. I suspect that does not matter in practice. Here's an example of a mouse part number: 710-431183015816

DigiKey has a wider selection actually: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/filt...

Though it gets confusing with surface / through-hole mounting, and ground/no-ground, and other random parameters. From the first glance it look like our switch might be a surface-mount with no ground.
