what is it?
measures 119.8v ac on both sides.....
comes off of the board here:
its normal path from pcb ... usually mounted behind the fan....

That would be a thermistor; basically a resistor whose value changes based on temperature, used to regulate the heat output. Here's a page from DigiKey showing the wide variety of values available.
