my rear camera doesn't work and the flashlight says the camera is in use even though there is no camera running I tried removing the camera module and restarting the factory but the flashlight still says the camera is in use and the rear camera still doesn't work. Can you help me?

I had the same issue too on my pixel 2xl phone suddenly.
The solution is to take a magnet and place it just near the camera, like literally on the flashlight, it may take some trials and error, while placing the magnet near the camera try opening the camera app.
For me this worked, so good luck👍🏻

a little extra last week I replaced the rear camera module on pixel 4 (flame) but used the camera module for pixel 4 xl (coral) at first I was surprised because it was compatible but when I used the camera it suddenly couldn't be used and the eggplant flashligh said the camera was used.
