On my left hand controller it is just steering left and it was so random in just started happening if there is a way to reset it or something that would be nice thank you.

If the analog sticks are not responding correctly, Hori recommends the following solution in the manual for the Split Pad Pro Attachment Set:
Disconnect and connect the controller from the Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Dock and turn ON the Nintendo Switch. Once Nintendo Switch is ON, rotate the analog stick 2~3 times. The process above will only work when this product is attached to the Nintendo Switchβ’ console and the power supply is on.
The Split Pad Pro Attachment Set is not compatible with the Nintendo Switch calibration menu.
In the case that the accessory's dedicated recalibration option does not work, it's possible that you have control stick drift. The solution in that case is the cleaning of the potentiometers or a replacement of the control stick module. A reference for disassembly is provided here.

This doesnβt tell you how to actually get to the potentiometer
If by potentiometer you are referring to the joystick, then sure it does. See the big red nob in the pictures. This joystick can be unsoldered from the board and replaced with one compatible with a Xbox. You aren't going to disassemble the joystick to get to the internal potentiometer.

Drift is a common problem with all joysticks. The best way to solve that problem with with a joystick replacement. The Hori Split Pro appears to be compatible with Xbox joystick replacements like can be found anywhere you search for "xbox joystick replacement". For example: https://a.co/d/5AmYLY1
