Starting to fix my computer
my computer will not power up at all, what next? Power cord seems to have power on it.

No on-board light? Leave it to charge for some time. If it still doesn't charge, we might be dealing with a bigger issue. Later, try opening the back, disconnect the battery safely, and then try plugging it in and running it on AC power. If it boots up, the battery is faulty.
