Hi!
Try to replace the right joystick first.
Guide: Xbox One Elite Controller Series 2 Left Joystick Replacement
Part: Xbox One Elite Controller Series 2 Joystick
It's hard to replace as it requires soldering. If you didn't solder before, I would bring it to a local repair shop to let them do it for you.
