Charging port Type C

Good day hope everyone is okay. I would like to know if I wanted to to get some type C ports for this phone. Is it worth it just getting the port itself to soldering back on the board or is it best just to get the board that has the port already installed on it. Another thing which type of Type C port would be needed if taking the route of soldering. I have been looking around and seeing that there are different pins like 6 16 24 and so forth. How do I determine which is the correct
