Doesn't switch on
Won't turn on. Brand new never used been in box unopened for over 12 month so out of warranty.

What is the model number of the player?
Does it indicate that power is connected to it OK i.e. standby light or some sort of display showing in display window?
Did you try using the player control buttons (if it has any) as well as the remote control to turn it on?
If the remote control, did you change the batteries and check?
What have you tried?
