When camera is turned on the view window on the rear does not light up to view the subject of the picture I am talking & does not light to to view pictures already taken when the button is pressed.

Carroll Land, sounds to me like you are having problems with the LCD. Check to make sure the ribbon cable is still connected and that it is not torn, or otherwise damaged. If that checks out okay, you may have to replace the LCD. Here is the teardown, which should give you an idea how to get to it. As for finding a new LCD, you may have to Google it, depending on your geographical location. Hope this helps, good luck
