Hello, I have a Vizio S2920w Soundbar which has a blown chip on it. I was wondering if anyone here could help identify it. Its marked 9F 2 and has U7 written on the board beside it. All help would be appreciated!

It looks like you have some other material to remove and underneath that there are the actual identifying markings.

Unfortunately I cannot remove that as thats the actual plastic itself which has burnt and turned white.

Hi, I’m having the same problem. Were you able to identify the component? That would be a great help.

@albert45304 from whatever is left to identify the component, this could very well be a Voltage regulator. Check on here You can relatively easy identify if it is a V Reg if one of the middle pins looks a bit odd. Again datasheet will show what I mean by that. You can also desolder the component and check the bottom side for what the center pins look like.
