Graphics card not detected

Graphics card not detected. My laptop is not detecting its GeForce GTX, and the HWInfo app doesn't detect the presence of the hardware. Tried installing drivers and it says no graphics card found. Looks to me like a hardware error, any one else experiencing this issue , is it possible to fix?

Well you can try the following:

  • Reset BIOS to defaults.
  • Update BIOS/EC firmware from the laptop manufacturer’s site.
  • Perform a power drain (remove battery and AC adapter, hold power button for 30s, then reconnect).
  • Boot a Linux live USB and run lspci | grep -i nvidia – if nothing shows, it’s very likely hardware.
