Don't even think about replacing the LCD panel on its own! See for yourself self $200 M1 MacBook Air Screen Repaired The Hard Way! From 2016 they are all like this.

That's why the guide says required parts are a complete display assembly. Agree it is near impossible to change just the LCD alone.
