Hi, @georgemcneill I gotchu.
Put your device in recovery mode by doing the following: Press volume up, then press volume down, then press the power button until the Apple logo appears. When something unusual shows, connect your device to your iTunes-installed computer and when the pop-up apppears, select "Update" This will force-update iPhone.

Tip: If this suggestion does not work, then when the iTunes pop-up appears, elect 'Restore' then go through setup again and then try regular updates again.
My phone isn’t installing software updates. The installation keeps failing.
