Hi @spamx

The video you sent is not working, (shows 0:00 / 0:00 and not the time length of the video e.g. 0:00 / 0:12 for a 12 second video etc) you may have to upload it again.

Does the laptop do this when the charger is connected or when starting the OS in safe mode?

I got a laptop for repair hp Omen 16 which has exactly the same issue...this issue occurs due to faulty power component which does not regulate the power and the supply to gpu and cpu is not properly passing through which cause the laptop shutdown or blackout.. no display coming on screen though the fan is running ..even sometimes the light on screen is flashing ...keypad lights are also flashing sometime..

I will find out the issue and post it in few days

@chiragchh and is there anything you want me to do like any diagnosis or anything and I'm waiting for you to find the issue and

I’m having the exact same issue with the exact same laptop, the victus 16-s0075nr. Mine is also out of warranty and I took it to micro center and they gave me a $700 quote to replace the screen, bezel, and ribbon cable that connects the screen to the motherboard. I bought the laptop for $700 so it’s clearly not worth that repair, especially because I don’t feel like that will fix it. I don’t believe it’s a short because it doesn’t happen consistently when I shake the laptop around (like I’d expect a short to do).

Edit: Take a look at this Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/HPVictus/s/uiif...

Looks like the issue is caused by the Hall effect sensor. I unplugged mine and it fixed it

Hi

Is the laptop still under warranty? Based on the fact the whole laptop turns off I can rule out the screen as if it was a bad screen it would continue flickering unless it somehow shorts out the motherboard. I also recommend checking if the laptop has some kind of UEFI diagnostics I recommend looking at the hp website for instructions on how to enter the diagnostics. It could even be the lid sensor that detects if the lid is closed sometimes this sensor malfunctions and thinks the lid is closed causing this flickering and turning off.

No the laptop is not under warranty it has been expired as much as I know my dad took it to a repair shop he said that the gpu chip was dried out and smtg like the motherboard shorted I don't understand what to do and later I did some research it was saying it may be CPU or GPU.

As you asked I'm running the UEFI diagnosis now actually the laptop wasn't starting for a while almost a month so I closed the lid and kept it in a bag I'm not sure weather it was shutdown or no but I plugged the charger and the laptop booted up and as you said im running system extensive test
