GBA SP not booting
Hello I bought a GBA SP unused online and it won’t boot past the Gameboy screen. The games work in another SP without issue m.

Hi!
So, for now I advise to clean the pins inside with isopropyl alcohol.
Clean it completely in there, and after this, try again.
If it's still failing, check for damaged pins, if this is the case, you most likely need to replace the port...
But cleaning will be the very first step to see if that will fix it!

Since the games work normally on another GBA SP, the cartridges are probably not the cause. Because this console only reaches the Game Boy boot screen and never proceeds to load the game, the issue is more likely with the console itself. Common causes include dirty or damaged cartridge slot contacts, poor solder joints on the cartridge connector, or a fault in the motherboard that prevents the game from being read correctly. I would start by thoroughly cleaning the cartridge slot with isopropyl alcohol, then inspect the cartridge connector pins for damage or corrosion. If cleaning doesn't help, the console may need to be opened for further inspection and possible repair of the cartridge slot or motherboard.

Hey Raymone,
I'd try a thorough cleaning of the cartridge slot and game contacts first. Unused consoles can still develop oxidation over time.
