Since I needed to repair the digitizer and LCD I decided to spend a little extra to purchase the assembly. It appears I may have gotten the wrong one? The mic flex cable (appears to be what it is) is on the right, not left of the back of the panel. Am I missing something or overlook a magical way a cable that short stretched?

Apparently all this assembly got me was the LCD, digitizer and mic flex cable with adhesive. I was able to simply separate the LCD and digitizer without much effort, flip the mic cable and was all set.
