Background
Released under the Republic of Gamers series in 2014, the Asus ROG GL551J is a gaming laptop that aimed to provide a mid-range experience on a budget. Packed with an intel i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M. The GL551J could run most games of its time at mid to high settings. Like most laptops of it's kind, the GL551J may experience issues with heat, and must be exposed to ventilation. At 6.0 Lbs, the Gl551J is also one of the heavier gaming laptops of it's time.
