The GoPro HERO was released on October 5th, 2014. The GoPro Hero offers video in 720p or 1080p and a 5MP camera. The ultra-wide 170° angle glass lens allows for spectacular gear-mounted shots or close-range selfies. The rechargeable 1180mAH lithium ion battery and waterproof casing allows photos and videos to be taken anytime, anywhere.

To check that your device is the “HD HERO” and not any other models, confirm that it says “HERO” instead of “HERO2”, “HERO3” or “HERO4”. Also confirm that there isn't a small "C" shape before the HERO logo.
