This vacuum pump, made by MityVac, is sold as a vacuum testing and brake bleeding kit.
Most people use them to help bleed or extra fluids in automotive applications. The supplied reservoir assists with this.
Another use is to test the air-tightness of vacuum systems on vehicles, or to use the gauge to check for whether the vehicle is producing sufficient vacuum to power vacuum assisted devices.
