The Samsung Gear S2 is the second generation of the Samsung Gear smartwatches, and was released in 2015. The S2 can be distinguished from the S3 by the fact that the S2 has a 1.2 inch face while the S3 has a 1.3 inch face. Also, the S3 features GPS navigation while the S2 does not.

The Gear S2 requires a phone using Android 4.4 or above to connect to. The S2 has many features including water resistance, a heart rate monitor, and pedometer. The S2 comes equipped with various pre-installed watch faces that a user can choose. Also, additional faces may be downloaded once the S2 is connected with a phone.
