Введение

If your Logitech G705 is not turning on, only works when plugged in, or has poor battery life, you may need to replace the battery. The repair is simple, but you must be careful with the delicate wires, ribbon cables, and the battery.

Before you begin, test the battery by charging it with a different cable to rule out a faulty cable. Also, make sure the mouse is clean and that all cables are connected within the mouse.

Power off the device before beginning the repair. As soon as possible, disconnect the battery to avoid damaging the device and possible injuries.

If the battery within your Logitech G705 is swollen, please follow the steps in this article.

Remove the skate pads from the bottom of the mouse by peeling them off to access the screws.
If you plan on reusing these skates, you can use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive and gently remove the skates.

Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the four 5.0 mm screws securing the bottom of the mouse shell.
It's recommended to use a parts tray to store these small screws, so you do not lose them.

Carefully pry the two halves of the mouse shell apart.
Be careful, as ribbon cables run along the edges.
Use a plastic pry tool if needed.

Use the point of a plastic spudger to push on alternating sides of the connector to "walk" it out of its socket.
It may take a lot of alternating before the connector comes out. Be patient, and don't pull on the cables.
If that doesn't work, use a pair of tweezers to firmly grip the sides of the battery connector and pull straight away from the socket. Hold the tweezers closer to the connector to get a better grip.
This step requires some force and may damage the plastic on the connector.

Remove the 3.0 mm PH000 screw from the black plastic bracket that secures the battery.
Remove the bracket.
The battery may come loose during this step, depending on the strength and amount of adhesive used during assembly. This is perfectly normal, and you may skip step 6 if this occurs.

If the battery did not come out, it may be easier to remove if the top and bottom of the mouse are separated first.
To separate the top and bottom of the mouse, use a spudger or a clean fingernail to flip up the locking flaps on the two ZIF connectors.
Use tweezers or your fingers to gently pull the ribbon cables straight out of their sockets.

Remove the battery from the shell.
If the battery doesn't come out easily, use adhesive remover to loosen the adhesive and then safely remove the battery from the shell.
Do not use a metal pry tool or pry the battery, as doing so may damage or puncture it and cause injury.

Place the new battery with the adhesive back in the shell.
If the new battery does not have adhesive already, you may use double sided tape to hold it in place.
