This guide shows how to remove the internal battery in the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless controller.
Do not puncture or bend the battery. If the battery is swollen, handle it very carefully. Follow this guide on how to properly handle a swollen battery for important safety information.
Note: To access the battery, only complete Steps 1–4 of the outer case disassembly guide. Then proceed to Step 7 to complete the battery replacement.
Important Safety Information:
- Disconnect the controller from any power source before starting to avoid electrical damage.
- Handle internal components gently to avoid further damage.

Insert the end of a spudger or opening tool in the seam at the top of the controller.

Slide it around the edge to release the retaining clips.

Use the spudger to separate the front and back plastic outer shell of the controller.

Flip the controller so the bottom is facing up.

Use the spudger to separate the plastic covering on the hand grips.

Use your hands to pry the back panel of the controller.

You now have access to the back buttons (2 on each side).

Lift the actuators out of the way to access the screws beneath.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the two 6.9 mm screws under the voice coil actuators.

The battery is the black rectangle shown in this figure.

Use a JIS #0 screwdriver to remove six screws.

One at each corner [6 mm].

One in the middle of the battery [3mm].
-
One right above the battery [4 mm].

Use the spudger to gently disconnect the small circuit board on top of the battery cover.

Use the angled tweezers to pull the white JST connectors out of their sockets.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
