Bernie, here is the pinout of the power adapter.
tip not connected
tip/ring negative
ring + 24V
shield connected to negative with a .5MΩ R

What mean by n.c.how many voltage powerbook g4 want
n.c.=not connected. Requires 24Volt

What is the 0.5 stuff connected to the shield? Whats that mean?
billie smith, it's a resistor that prevents the shielding from becoming ground....
