Take a look at the Troubleshooting Guide -- the first step would be to try pressing the "Reset" button that is located on the bottom of the device above the SD card slot.

Most likely, your USB connector's solder joint got detached and no longer making a connection. It is really common on these older models.

my Tom Tom does not come on at all no green light ,
