So, when you get the message 'Custom binary blocked by FRP lock' it means you have flashed a unauthorized binary file to the phone and the phone is preventing itself to boot since it has detected the modified file(s).

Now to fix this to at least boot up properly you need to reflash the Samsung Firmware for your phone.

Match it to the model number shown on the back cover of the phone (SM-G9xx for example) or model number shown in download mode which you can access if you keep holding power + volume down + home until you get to light blue screen.

Here is a guide on how to flash Samsung Firmware:

http://updato.com/how-to/how-to-install-...

Note if you want to also remove Google Account Lock you will need to use the method shown here:

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f777/uni...

Note that in most cases you will need to downgrade the firmware on the phone back to Android 6.x Marshmallow if you are already on Android 7.x Nougat for the FRP bypass method to work.

Brother! I understand the problem but my problem is even worse! My phone wont even boot to download mode or either recovery mode. If i plug it on my pc it only will boot-loop constantly! i hope i can find a solution here!

из

Try forcing it into download mode. You can do this by holding power volume down and the home button until you see the light blue prompt to go to download screen, do that while it's plugged in.

If the phone turns off immediately upon unplugging the charge cable I suspect the battery has gone bad.

1. You'll need to enable the hidden "Developer options" menu by heading to About phone (or About tablet) in Settings, then tapping the "Build number" entry 7 times in rapid succession.

2. Head to the "Developer options" menu, then toggle the switch next to the "OEM unlocking" entry to enable it.

This only helps before the issue occurs preventing it.

из

You are right. It's better to prevent it at first place. If You cant boot up your phone You need to reflash original firmware then boot up, switch oem unlocking and flash right twrp recovery for your phone. If problem occurs then You flash the wrong recovery file (not for Your phone model).

из

theres no" oem unlocking" entry in my case

из

If there isn't then your phone is probably a SM-G920I or SM-G925I which don't have the option in developer settings.

My guess is that you won't ever need to use it as these stay permanently frp lock disabled.

из

I experienced only being released to be flashed locked after installing Twrp on Samsung A6 Is there anyone who can help me not to be locked again after installing Twrp because before I activated OEM before Flash Twrp

Whenever you get the "Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock" in red letters at the top of the screen when you try to boot to recovery, Ben who previously answered is partially correct in saying you have flashed a(n invalid) file to the phone and the phone is preventing itself to boot since it has detected the modified file(s). This can happen when you are trying to establish Root or flash a ROM that is incorrect for your device. Typically sometimes flashing in the official firmware may help, yet sometimes it does not. When that happens what's needed is an "Unlock FRP" file that most often is specific to each device. This means you can't just use any unlock frp file and this is not the kind of FRP lock that has to do with Google Sign in stopping you from accessing the device functionality. In Binary Lock Mode the device does not load past the Logo screen. BE ADVISED! This will also fatory reset your device.

Hoe xan i remove the costum binary frp lock without a pc...?

из

So my Samsung Galaxy SM-G925P is showing custom binary blocked by frp (in red color) I tried to force it into download mode. After pressing power, volume down and the home button. The blue screen displays but volume up or down wont go either up or down to select the download mode and I won't be able to activate using the power button. Even, whenever I try to power on the phone, nothing will come up but the custom binary blocked by frp.

What can I do to get it fix. What are procedures or the steps? Thank you.

из

Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock is not the same as the Factory Reset Protection (FRP) associated with the Google Account sign in. This one is an overload of codes or binaries due to flashing invalid or corrupted firmware into the device. So don't try the firmware that got you into the situation. I know of no way this can be fixed without using a PC with Odin3. If you are in Custom Binary Lock by FRP I may be of help but that is no guarantee your device can be returned to proper functionality. There are some I've been working on that I've been unable to correct so far. That being said let me tell you what I know of to possibly restore your device. If you may be familiar with using Odin3 it is common to use one file to flash the device. This goes into the AP section of Odin3. However, with binary lock this is not one of those times you can do so. If you are in Binary Lock you should not be able to Factory Reset or flash most files with Odin3 which will only initialize then fail.

из

I can not name one single file that will fix this and there seems to be a variety of ways for a fix. This all depends on where you are seeing the notification of "Custom Binary Blocked". Some people can make it to the Recovery Menu but cannot use it. It's about the same if you see the notice in Download mode. You can't seem to use it. Some see it on the splash screen and they are in a repeating Bootloop so also cannot use the device or flash it.

The files you will use in attempting to fix your device are specific to your device. Do not use any others. Do not try to downgrade your device from android version 8 or above to Android version 7. It doesn't work to begin with. You need to search for what's called repair firmware. This should be a 4File and not a single file. Any file you try to flash in must be a binary equivilant of what you have in your device. Here's the short version of how to find which binary your device is using. Here's the build number or firmware of one of my devices.

из

T580UE(U4)CSC1. The U4 in parentheses signifies the binary or bootloader. Repair Files also called Combination Files can be found here with samsung devices. https://combinationfirmware.com/ They take hours to download. 4File firmware contains a BL, AP, CSC and a Home CSC file. Use Odin3 and place each file in their respective places. Be advised the CSC file will wipe all your application data. If you wish to keep your application data use the CSC Home File. Should flashing these files with Odin3 fail to work you need to search for the Binary Unlock files. One starts with the device model number then has U4 FRP Unlock. Mine was "SM T580 Binary 4 Unlock" or there's another one called "?? ???? U4 FRP Removal File" use your devices model number, not mine. Unless you're working with the T580. If none of that works you're one of the few I haven't been able to help. Good luck.

Open and fastboot minimal and type adb devices then if it says connected to android with a serial number then you are connected to and then type dab boot loader reboot boot loader then type dab boot loader oem unlock oem and that should be it then boot up phone and go to settings and go to about device then look for build number tap it repetitively till it says developer options are open then back out and go to settings at the bottom you will see developer options and in there check oem on and fixed

THAT DOES NOT WORK! The OEM is not locked, the device is just acting like it because it's preventing instalation of all software not Official. You may be able to access developer options but you cannot use them. A binary block occurs when the binaries of the device are overloaded. You cannot shove more in!

I haven't tried this on Huaweis only Samsungs, but the method should work. Most of the answers here are not helpful because they are not actually familiar with Binary Blocks and some are guessing. Ben up above is reading off his PC which doesn't explain it all. You cannot downgrade the device if you can't flash anything to it can you? Downgrading is not advised. What you need to fix your issue is a "Binary 4 FRP Unlock" file. I don't think Odin3 works with your device but you should be able to sideload it in via ADB. If that doesn't work for you there's another file you can look up called "Binary U 4". If neither one of those files work for you, I'm currently stuck on answering that as of yet.

Berfore I flash any device I always have the official stock firmware on hand. The Galaxy S6 has manufactures defects as far as I know. That could be part of your issue. I'll Email you from centaur. It'll be labeled FRP. I'll post any results here after I may or may not solve the issue for anybody paying attention.

из

@CASPER YOUNG i got it. i downloaded a recovery rom

из

@CASPER YOUNG can u email me so i have your email address cuz i would like to go to you next time i need someone smarter than me. and u can tell u know a lot.

из

@Heather Odonnell I set you an email which came back to me today. Did you know you have an issue with your Gmail? Anyways I sent another one. I'll only let this link stay active for 24 hours, hopefully you'll get it and contact me by then. Here's a link to my fakebook page and yes you may friend me so we can hopefully solve your issue. No you do not need to download a recovery ROM. TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) is what you'll want if you wish to Root your device. But you can't just use any ROM you come across. Be careful when flashing your device before reading up on things. If you brick your phone in some weird way I may not be able to help you.

Dear Casper,

I must say that I admire your willingness to be helpful.

My experience up to now has been that the tech landscape is littered with people that do not wish to help, although they Do have the answers.

To see you trying help each and every one of these folks is a breath of fresh air.

I salute you.

I may, at some point,

Require your counsel myself.

Until then, please know that some one is watching and appreciates your good deeds.

Hi, my Samsung Galaxy S7 fell into Custom Binary FRP Lock after plugging it in to charge. I tried to access the download mode to update the framework as per the instruction/advice found on this site. My phone does not go into download mode after pushing the relevant keys. The only screen that shows is the Samsung logo page with a red message stating Custom Binary FRP Lock and a green LED light that is constantly lit. Is there another way to access the download mode? Is there a way to fix the FRP Lock another way?

Your symptoms aew one of four different ways that Custum Binary blocked by FRP Lock appears to any Android user having to deal with it. As far as I know this is not something that happens when ypu plug it in to charge it. It happens when trying to Root or flash a ROM to the device that is corrupted or flawed. Thus, the Custom Binary issue. Youls need either the Combination files or the repair files of an equivilant binary to fix this issue. To find your binary structure Assuming you have either the SM-G930 or the SM-G935. You'd need to look up the combination files here,

https://samsungfirmware.net/?s=Galaxy+S7....

Or here for the G935.

https://samsungfirmware.net/?s=Galaxy+S7...

But that's not all. You have to flash them into the device. Good thing there's people here that'll help ya. I got ya started. Good luck.

из

@casper young Thank you for your reply. The problem that I'm having is the phone does not go into Download Mode/Odin Mode. It just keeps restarting the logo page. How can Iflash the firmware on the device without going into Download Mode/Odin Mode?

из

Again, Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP lock happens when "invalid" firmware has been flashed to the device. The 4 variations of the binary lock all have the words Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock. This is the Device Protection Mode.

By the way, you have to get to Download mode and it is somehow possible but the methods may vary. If you hold the power, volume up and down and also the home button down for about a minute the device should turn off if you are having difficulties doing that.

Just to make sure I'll start you over. With the device off press and hold together Volume Down + Home button + Power button for a while, (sometimes when the logo screen appears you have to let go of all buttons and then hold them again. This is a dual action method). Do the two optons come up? Can you get to recovery mode? If so try going to the bootloader. That is Download mode.

You need, Odin3.13. and the current stock firmware in tar form. I'll get back to you.

из

@bonnielp22 Sorry this reply is so late for you. You have to start the device in a particular way when it is off. Pressing the power button will get you to the logo screen and that's not where you need to go. So unless I'm getting this wrong you need to start the device so it loads into the recovery or bootloader(Download mode) Since I suspect you cannot get to Recovery which often happens when custom binaries are locked, Download mode should in fact be accessible because that's the only way the device can be corrected. That is by flashing in the correct firmware.

See if you can boot into recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power keys at the same time for about 30 seconds. If that does not work, turn the device off again and try to boot into Download mode. This is somewhat the same as going to recovery. Download mode is accessed by holding Volume Up, Home and Power keys at the same time. If you get there to turn it off by holding all buttons for about a minute.

из

Contact me again here and let me know if any of those methods worked or not and we can continue from there.

Usually that's due to a bad cord issue. Make sure you have the latest Samsung driver installed on your PC. Even in the worst of conditions Odin3 will detect the device regardless of which version of Odin3 your using. For the J7 I would suggest Odin3.13.3. You must first return to device back to official status. You may need what's called a combination or repair file. Go to https://samsungfirmware.net/category/sam... and enter your devices model number, then scroll down to find the (binary) firmware. Install via Odin3. Good luck.

This custom binary block error can be solved by flashing the device with official firmware through Samsung Odin.

Simply download your device firmware. make sure the firmware is the latest one. you can download the firmware from androidfilehost, sammobile or any other firmware directory. anyone can flash it easily by Odin. But make sure you know the google account of your device. Because if you don’t know it then your device will be frp google account verification locked. To unlock FRP Lock or reactivation lock from any Samsung device check this Samsung FRP Bypass Guide.

Custom Binary blocked by FRP usually only happens when corrupted or incorrect firmware is flashed into the device. Since there are about 10 different versions of the S9 knowing your devices Build number would be needed. If you know which version you have, Galaxy S9 (SM G960?). You can download official firmware to fix your issue here, https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy...
