Hi @Mac Dre,

Here’s an image taken from the user manual for your TV which shows all the information about what types of USB drives, their file systems, capacity etc can be connected to the TV.

Hi @ Shaik Prime,

According to the user guide for the TV:

“Plays content stored on a USB device (external HDD, USB memory stick) directly on the TV, easily and conveniently.

To connect a USB device

Connect the USB storage device to the TV's USB IN terminal.

The connected USB storage device can be used immediately.

To remove the USB device

Q.MENU  USB Device

Select a USB storage device that you want to remove.

When you see a message that the USB device has been removed, separate the device from the TV.

Once a USB device has been selected for removal, it can no longer be read. Remove the USB storage device and then re-connect it.

Using a USB storage device - warning

If the USB storage device has a built-in auto recognition program or uses its own driver, it may not work.

Some USB storage devices may not work or may work incorrectly.

Use only USB storage devices formatted with the Windows FAT32 or NTFS File System.

For external USB HDDs, it is recommended that you use devices with a rated voltage of less than 5 V and a rated current of less than 500 mA.

It is recommended that you use USB memory sticks of 32 GB or less and USB HDDs of 1 TB or less.

If a USB HDD with power-saving function does not work properly, turn the power off and on. For more information, refer to the user manual of the USB HDD.

Data in the USB storage device can be damaged, so be sure to back up important files to other devices. Data maintenance is the user's responsibility and the manufacturer is not responsible for data loss”.

Hi @Samar rai,

Here’s a link to the user manual for a LG 32MN58HM-P.

Is this the full model number of your monitor?

If it is, scroll down the page to find the download link for the manual and when you have the manual go to p,12 Selecting an input source to view how to connect a USB HDD to the monitor.

It does specify (Depending on model) so if your particular model is not the one listed above it may not work

@Nyarry Mus,

You don’t say what is wrong with the USB connection in your TV, so here’s a link to the user manual that details how to use the USB port (p.28) and also the remote control (p.23) to access the USB functions etc.

Scroll down to Owner’s manual and click on the language link that suits you.

If your USB device is not being detected, plug in a USB mouse and see if the mouse laser light turns on, indicating that the USB port is supplying power to the device. If not there may be a problem with the port.

Hi, my "LG TV" keeps saying ; "USB Port not supported, why does this mean, I don't know anything about this, Thanks.

из

It has been coming "On Screen", that my "USB Port is not Supported", I don't know what it is ( well, I know the USB that you use to charge your phone, that's all) I had a USB Adapter plugged into my TV to use my "Strip Lights", but I have not had a USB plug in that I know of, I am not having any problems with my TV, just that message that comes on Screen, can you Help, please?

из

Hi @James Gilmour

On some LG TVs the USB port is used solely as a service port to connect test equipment by service personnel and it is not used for anything else. Perhaps that may be one reason the message appears. Check the user manual for your model to see what it says about the USB port.

When i try to put in my usb (Sandisk) it started showing unable to support usb drive i tryed putting it it said the same thing so i put in my other usb which is not SanDisk and it worked immediately please i don't understand what the problem is can you help please

из

Hi @Shalewa Aisha

Either it doesn't like the SanDisk for some reason or maybe the SanDisk is a bigger capacity flashdrive or maybe it has been formatted differently to the one that works and what the TV supports e.g. NTFS or FAT-16 or FAT-32 or APFS or HFS+ or exFAT or even something else etc

Are they both formatted the same?

What is the capacity (GB) of the two flashdrives? Is the one that works OK, a smaller capacity drive than the SanDisk, the same capacity or larger?

For getting USB network adapter to work with LGMOD patches are not needed. Patches were just for enable USB media playback on models which do not support that.

USB network adapter needs to be plugged in before you powered on TV to make it work.

Hi @raichel121 ,

Just curious how you made the leap from the OP 's question to LGMOD patches?

He only asked about USB support for USB devices, (as yet unknown type), nothing specific about needing network access via USB etc.

As the model number is yet unknown it may be that perhaps his model does not even have a USB port
