my acer iconia a1-810 will not turn on into the normal home screen it stays in the "android system recovery' and every time i try to "reboot system now" it restarts and says "erasing" for a good 20 seconds. The tablet is not even 3 years old a good tablet. please help

Try a hard reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes . This guide will help you get in and shows how to disconnect the battery.

If this brings no joy try wiping the cache partition .this should help with that
