Automatic Repair failed.. not enough space!

My laptop was working fine, then it got stuck on a boot up loop.. I'm stuck advanced options menu, but I can't use any of the options due to not enough storage! Any help would be great!

I would recommend going into the windows repair settings, and fully erasing/resetting the computer. If you are not able to do that, then here is what you must do:

  1. Go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software... and put this ISO file onto a bootable USB drive
  2. Once this is installed you can use the USB to reset the computer. Fully turn off your computer and restart into boot options. (to get to boot options it should be one of your F keys that you press while it starts up. The computer will tell you, keep your eyes on the top corners of the screen.
  3. Once you are in this menu click on the USB to boot into.
  4. Then go through the menus until you reach where it asks you which drive you to want to install windows 10 on. First, click on each drive and press delete. This will delete all of your data (but there is no other option, your windows are corrupted). Once everything is deleted, click on your main drive to install windows on and continue.
  5. Continue the process as the prompts appear on the screen, eventually, the process will be done, and now your PC will be functioning.

WARNING: ALL METHODS I HAVE DISCUSSED HERE WILL FULLY RESET YOUR COMPUTER AND DATA WILL BE LOST IF IT HAS NOT BEEN BACKED UP

There is a method to keep the data however, that @jayeff suggested. He said: β€œthe HDD (SSD?) [can] be removed and installed as a secondary drive in a desktop so that data can possibly be copied before attempting reset in original laptop.

Here's theΒ service manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04... that shows how to remove the HDD.

Hi @timothymcevoy ,

Suggest that the HDD (SSD?) be removed and installed as a secondary drive in a desktop so that data can possibly be copied before attempting reset in original laptop.

Here's the service manual that shows how to remove the HDD.

That's what I would try to do first but that's just me.

Cheers
