Hi half the screen of my archos 101 tablet has gone blank. I can see my icons on the good side but the other side is mainly white - see picture! I'm not sure what's caused it as my kids say they haven't dropped the tablet! I'm not a technically clued up person so can you please advise if this is an outer screen problem or inner display is shot? Thanks in advance!

If there are no images to be seen then as a DIY repair all you can do is to check that the display flex cable is securely connected to the systemboard and if it is, to temporarily replace the display to determine whether the problem is in the display or the systemboard.
Here’s a video that shows how to replace the screen in the tablet that may help.
